Pride Big Rapids Festival Guidelines and Code of Conduct Agreement
The Pride Big Rapids festival is a welcoming event; having both time and space to come together with friends, family, and loved ones to celebrate the progress of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Our code of conduct is designed to ensure that the festival is a safe and accepting space for every participant/attendee and that everyone is treated with kindness, courtesy, and respect.
Decorum & Language Expression:
We will not tolerate any threatening, violent or offensive behavior, or derogatory remarks against participants, volunteers, staff, security personnel, and all attendees. Any individual found to be harassing or infringing on the bodily integrity of other participants will be asked to exit the event immediately.
Social District:
Please read and review all rules of the social district and ensure that you follow the additional rules and regulations set forth by the social district in which the event is being held.
Drug and Alcohol Usage: Pride Big Rapids requests that everyone act responsibly and according to the law with regards to alcohol consumption across the event footprint.
We also ask that you be mindful of drug usage and refrain from partaking around families and children in attendance.
Clean-Up: Please help us keep the downtown area clean. When you leave, please ensure that the space is both clear and free of debris. Trash cans will be located throughout Michigan Avenue.
Pride Big Rapids will not be held liable for any items that are lost, stolen or damaged before, during, or after the event.
Pride Big Rapids reserves the right to change these rules as necessary to ensure the safety and convenience of all in attendance.
Failure to adhere to the above guidelines will make you ineligible to return in future events and may result in removal from the event.
Please reach out to a board member for any clarification on these rules and regulations.
